Back in an S :)
A few years ago, I bought a 2003 Black S2000. Had 67,000 miles on it and ended up trading it 2 years later with about 97,000 miles on it. I regretted it the moment I did it. I'm not entirely sure why I did it but I rushed myself into buying it when I did. I wanted an S so bad so instead of being patient and finding the right one, I talked myself into one I wasn't 100% happy with. It had a few dings here and there and scratches. No spoiler, no nothing really. I liked it but I didn't LOVE it. Anyways, I ended up eventually with a 08 Civic SI coupe. Loved it. Only car I ever owned for more than 2.5 years. April 2008 until November 30 2012. Was close to paying off (1 year) and started looking at s2000's again. Well, this time I was patient. I searched and searched and found one. a 2007 Formula Red with only 15,874 miles. Never touched the rain, always garage kept, 1 owner, no dings, no scratches, and has a spoiler. I drove 4 hours to purchase this car and I still have not wiped the smile off my face.
I am finally back in an S and don't just like it, I "love" it. Already tinted the windows, installed a nice headunit in it, ordered a Invidia Q300 exhaust and will be purchasing the lower front OEM bumper kit/lip to go on it soon. I missed this car so bad it's not even funny. Good thing gas in tennessee as of today was $3.20 for premium
Insurance only went up $15 a month too for same coverage. As my first post, I just wanted to shout out my happiness haha. I thought I'd regret getting rid of my SI because that car was the best car I ever had, but it just didn't feel "manly" enough lol. I get looks everywhere I go in this S. Car feels rare to me and hopefully it will be in my future for a long time.

I'm a newbie on the forum obviously and at work at the moment but seeing as how I frequent this board alot now, I'm going to update my profile and I'll throw some pics in there tonight when I get home from work
There is no special way to upload pics is there?

Somebody queue up John Sebastian – Welcome Back!
I completely understand the comments about your first S2000 – I rushed the purchase of my first one too (just couldn't help myself). I lucked into a CR that was practically brand new a year later and I think we'll live happily ever after. Congratulations on finding such a clean car – and a great color to boot.
What is it about the S2000 that bewitches us so? I've read lots of stories on this forum that are similar to yours – sold the S and bought something else; sold that car and bought another S. I guess those other cars prove to us how special the S2000 really is. For the money, it's in a class by itself.
Post some pics when you can. It's probably easiest to link them here from photobucket, or some other hosting site.

Congrats on the CR. I understand what you mean about the grip this car has on its owners. Idk what it is about the car, but I always wanted another one. I told myself I would have another one. I just didn't think it would ever happen because I was so happy with my SI. I will do my best to post pictures. The pics probably won't do it justice but the car looks absolutely amazing to me. The black tint helped set it off even more too. I love getting inside it now, almost blacked out feeling and I just feel like I'm in a rocket. The sound, the way the car feels when accelerating, the shifting. Everything just feels so precise. I just can't get over it. I constantly find myself staring back at it as I walk away from it when I get out of the car. I've owned a lot of cars and I'm 30 but I tend to stick with nothing but Honda.

C-L-E-A-N-! It looks perfect in the photos - like brand new. A little voice in the back of my head keeps trying to convince me to find a pampered S like that to keep as a garage queen while I 'torture' my CR. I'm in my early 50s. I've had a few cars over the years - seven of them have been Hondas, and every one of them was simply reliable (basic maintenance and they just hum along). I don't think that looking back at your S2K will ever cease - it's a timelessly beautiful form (simple, but curvaceous, and not the least bit audacious) from any angle. I have fond memories of a couple of CRXs, but they pale in comparison to the delight of piloting the S.
Enjoy it.
Enjoy it.
