I've had no problems with the driver's seat in the S. My Explorer is a very different matter

I had the same problem, but realized that the backache was only indirectly linked to my S and was really caused by the eager women that it attracts.

I found that Chiroflow discontinues the low cost Adjustable/Inflatable Lumbar Support, but it can be found on eBay for around $20 or less + shipping.
The sizes of this lumbar support is 12" x 8" x 2" and it can be installed behind the middle section of the seat between the bolsters.

Ummm, sit in the backseat of a RSX,everything will be heaven after that. I sat there for like 15 agonizing minutes. The seats in the S2K aren't that bad. I really like them, that's why they get stolen. Maybe it's the getting in and out of a low car that's difficult for you. There is some really good advice people have written like keep your wallet in your front pocket (this also helps in pickpockets too, damn Mexico). Do sit ups before doing back exercises as sit ups strengthen your back. Stretch your back more than work it out. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and stay away from sodas. Wait... we were talking about your back aches. Seriously, I have a desk job and drive 40miles to work and back home each way. No back aches. I do however get a sore butt at the movies. I guess I could do more squats but chances are, I just get a sore butt at the movies. So in conclusion, don't know why my butt hurts, don't know why you have a sore back. But I'm pretty sure it's not the seats.

I really like the S2000 seat and I feel like that's the only time I'm really sitting up properly.

I recently switched to the new King size Temporpedic mattress and all the back aches went away. I now get the best sleep ever and have recommended it to friends and they bought it too and thanked me for the recommendation. If you can afford it (not cheap, I think it was over 4K) go for it and your back problems will probably end. This matteress is sold everywhere...[COLOR=red]
Earlier this year I had horrible back pain. I am 27. Our mattress sucked, and I had a similar work environment to you (computer, 8 hours a day). First, I saw a chiropractor.. he did electro-shock type stuff, gave me some exercises.. didn't seem to help.

Next step... I got a Tempurpedic mattress. Don't believe them if they tell you that you need the box spring as well, a standard box spring (from your present bed) will be fine as long as it is solid. Also, you don't need the uber-thick Tempurpedic mattress, the standard model will do fine. overall, the King mattress I bought cost me less than $2000. Since it has a 20 year warranty, I figure that's pretty good value especially since it completely ERASED my back pain. I am a believer in this mattress!!

I used to have backache too and I am only 18!! I thought I had bad posture or something, but I realized it was the mattress which I used for many years. My bad is as hard as a rock now (wood actually), no springs. I sleep great now, no more back problems. Your back problem is most likely due to your bed since its pretty old and the springs wear out.

Pay careful attention to how you get in/out of the car. The car is low and the door does not swing out far. I have a tendency to want to twist which I instantly regretted. Learned to slide out by using the bottom door rail.

Back exercises should definitely help but if they make the pain worse, see a doctor.
