Default Bad paint? What bad paint?

I just washed my Spa Yellow 2001 this morning. Everytime I wash the car I look for the bad paint that some owners have complained off.. and I can't find any. The paint sparkles and there are no imperfections... Compared to my 98 Maxima(black in color) the S2000 paint is so much better.

This leads me to come to the follow conclusion:
1) I got lucky on the S2000 - doubt it, I am never lucky, plus most S2000 I've seen in person have good paint
2) The Maxima was just bad luck - perhaps, but then lots and lots of maxima owners I personally know complain of the maxima paint. At least 4th gen maximas and first years of 5th gen.

BTW my car also started just fine this morning, no gear grinds, no hazzy rear plastic window, no rear end clunk etc. Since people don't generally post the positives, figured that I would.

Any chips on your hood, front quarter panels, or front bumper?

The windshield seems to show damage more quickly than the paint.

Long time now see, hear, nothing. You should try coming to one of our Thursday Happy Hours.

Mine has no chips but it does have a slightly rough surface on the hood. But I use Mothers claybar to smooth it once in a while.

Yep, some people complain of bad paint chips on the S and so many other problems, yet mine doesn't have any. Just the clutch disc replaced for free. Hopefully it'll remain problem-free for a long long time.
