Default bar under the car by the diff?

i was wondering what the bar is under the car by the diff? will it affect anything if i take it off? im asking because it seems like my exhaust is hitting the bar and making a loud rattling noise. i've had my exhaust for a couple months now and it just started happening. maybe it's the weather. we've had some rain and cold weather here in socal, so maybe the cold is the cause of it? it's really annoying and im thinking of just removing the bar.

That is an important bit of kit. It's part of the rear subframe and stiffens it. Removing it is bad. If your exhaust is hitting it it's your exhaust that's the problem not the lower rear brace.

This bar is the stiffener. Dont remove it. In fact some people replace it with a Cusco stiffener (for better performance as they claim).

When you remove the stock bar - you'll see how weak it is - you can twist and bend it quite easily whereas the Cusco one is a lot stronger. having fiited the Cusco one, it is a lot easier to control the back end during tail out moments.

Better performance on track is what I meant, cause you get better handling.

Regardless how easy you can twist the bar this is not the way it works.

The bar gets tension in the way shown below and yes... if this bar is stronger then the tensible strength is increased. Sorry for the lousy sketch.

You can go ahead and take it off. Honda likes to put random bars and braces under the car for no reason.
