How often do tires have to be replaced? I am talking about regular use for someone who uses the car as a everyday driver in california. I do not plan to race the car at all.

I basically owned a 2003 for a month and then Poway honda tried pulling some shit on me with interest rates so i returned the car. I regret doing that since I really liked the car and I now truly believe that i was in my right to tell them to fuk off. Now I have nothing and it just sucks. Anyways I miss the car, found this forum and now thought I would just ask these questions.
Also here is my situation, so that if any of you have some advice for me I will take it. I am a college grad of one year and that has worked for a company now three years. I am a database administrator/ programmer. I have no credit cards so I got approved by the graduate program at honda. I want to put down around $6000 to $8000 on the car. Do you guys have any advice on how I should finance the car?

I think the average tire wear on the rear is about 8K to 10K. I changed mine out at 7,700 and I don't run her hard.
Front still looked like new.

My car has been to Deal's Gap 4 times, too many trips through to count. Was a daily driver for about 6 months, and has almost 15,000 miles on the tires. Granted the rear tires need to be replaced, but if you don't do burnouts I think it's not unreasonable to get 12,000 miles fairly easily out of the rear tires. Fronts should be good for at least 24,000 miles.
As for financing, try a credit union if you have access to one. With your money down you should be able to get a good rate and good terms.
Run a self credit report to see how well you fare (costs about $13 and doesnt' hurt your credit at all). Then search on the internet for low auto lending rates. So far, the internet's been on my side, in terms of the lowest rates. I am not in any unions, so I don't know how they would do.
If you can get a cosigner with good credit, that would be even better. Do you have any school loans that you are repaying now? That should be a plus, if you're keeping up with it regularly. If you have any blemishes on your credit or missed one payment on something, I wouldn't be too optimistic.
The easiest rout to get approved is on a certified used one, the trick is finding the right car that has not been abused. With that down you should have no problem going that rout. The "new" rout is a bit harder to get bought but can be done, what was the deal at the other dealer?

The S2000 is a fantastic car if nothing goes wrong.
I loved my S2000 until my engine failed with symptoms of a classic #4 cylinder failure. Honda Australia are claiming owner abuse and I am headed for the court room.
If it does then your fvcked because pretty much worldwide Honda's level of customer service is fvcking attrocius.
The clutch is a piece of crap that will not last. Probably about $1000US to replace.
Tyres don't last long either. Probably about 8-10k miles. To be fair OEM tyres are a high performance soft compound tyre. Other tyres will last significantly longer.
Premature public hating on the S isn't the answer to your problems dude.
Seriously though, I am sorry about your experience w/ the dealers down under and hope the courts will force Honda to compensate you if you really didn't abuse the car.
BTW, what did they tell you constitutes "driver abuse"?
I've got 11,000 miles on my rears with plenty of meat still on them.If I see any wear it's more on the edges of the rears but I'm sure that's due to the fact some nights I take the canyon home.
