Angry Beached....

So I tradered by beloved Red ITR in and bought a nice 02 S2...

I couldn't wait to get up to the coast and take it for a spin on one of beaches in northern ireland which you can take your car on to. (Benone)

The tide was coming so there wasn't much hard sand available, being aware of this I very senisably decided it wasn't the greatest idea i'd had and hit the gas to spin it right round..... except it didn't ... it turned 90 degress and sunk into the soft sand....

Total and utter panic ensued and after some pushing the car was sitting on its undercarriage wheels spinning furiously.

I managed to flag down a jet skiier and he shot off to get help... while trying to dig my pride and joy out i managed to burn my paw on the exhuast...

Help arrived in the form of a convoy of cars and a 4x4 ... a lot of people stood back and stoked their chins (obviously thinking ... young guy - sports car - idiot)... while i jibbered like a mad man... fortunately the 4x4 owner had seen it all before and after some more excavation pulled me out of what would have been a rather expensive mistake! The sea at this point was about one car length from my rear tyres!

I got off the beach and took my salty motor to the nearest garage and hosed it clean... and promised it i would never treat it so badly again...

Anyone else been so daft ?

At least it was an interesting mistake as opposed to the usual "I spun and nearly killed myself and 8 other people". Glad nothing got damaged (except your hand).

Seriously, it could have been a total disaster. Be careful next time. I hope you thanked those folks who helped out. Goodness of humanity prevailed.

Is an S2 a truck? If you are referring to a Honda S2000 then I just have to wonder why you would abuse your car so terribly. This is really stupid.
