Default beeping cluster?

'05 motor, '05 cluster...

whats with the beeping cluster? i did notice that my cluster just crossed the 10600 mile marker...is there some kind of a beeping "change your oil morron!" beep? MAKE IT STOP!

its a 2 beep per sec, one second between them, only when moving faster than ~3mph, just started doing it today when pulling out of breakfast. everything seems to be fine, and the AEM ECM is showing that eaverything is alright....

no indicator bulbs in the cluster, so i am working blind here

fuel guage is not wired, and neither is the seat belt switch.

MAKE IT STOP!

Is your ebrake slightly pulled? One notch?

Your description sounds like the ebrake, you maybe pulled it a notch to operate the top?

My ebrake was doing the same thing, beeping when I had one notch up.

That's a good feature. It's way too easy to pop up the ebrake in order to raise or lower the top, and then forget to unset it again. I know from experience that the older cars don't have such a warning.

It was actually only doing this when I was driving and had one notch up.

I tested it to see if I can get the top to go up an down while the car is running, at slow speeds, but it kept beeping, so I didn't mess with the top.

Just FYI, the top control module receives speed sensor signals.
The top won't operate when you're moving even if you have the ebrake engaged.
