At least they didn't slash your top. That would have been more damage and another S2Ki member in Mid-A just had his top slashes and insurance said since its a wear item they wouldn't give him the full cost to replace the top, so the rest will have to be out of pocket

So sorry about your loss man that sucks, its the world we live in now.
when I park I take all that suff out and throw it in my trunk Antena,XM
radar, etc.... so when they look in there isn't anything worth taking
unless they just take the whole car. it sucks one of my buddies in the NYC
forum has had his antena stolen three times and another had his HIDS
stolen twice.... sucks.

Hope everything works out for you .

And they left your seats!

I feel bad about what happened here, but count yourself lucky that your story wasn't similar to so many on this board who have had slashed tops and missing seats & interiors. You may want to contact Kodokan_4 about seat locks.

Good luck with the insurance co.

Thanks for the nice replies guys. It wasn't a very pleasant suprise when I went to leave for work this morning. Well, the car is getting the glass replaced as we speak, and I'll have to go get the window retinted sometime next week. It could have been alot worse, and there is a reason why insurance is a good thing to have. I hope whoever jacked my stuff is having a good day at least, mine certainly got off on the wrong foot. Dammit.

That kind of theft seems like it was probably unplanned (didn't take seats, wheels or trash the car more) and may have been a greedy impulse in a dishonest and uncaring person. Now that they've seen your car, I hope they don't come back for more later. Other than keeping valuables out of sight, there may be little else that you can do to prevent this sort of stuff.

Yea, i'm guessing it was just some dirtbag coming through the parking lot. I hope they don't plan a return trip for the rest of the more valuable stuff on the car, seats, headlights, etc...

Your taking it very well. Sadly, this type of sh!t happens far too often. There will always be haters in this world.

Karma is def circular, he or she will get what they deserve. Most importantly though, you kept your head. I commend you for that

That sucks!

Having lived in cities in the past.

One thing I learned the hard way is hide everything (leave nothing in the site of potential thieves). Nothing: umbrellas, tapes, CD's, cell phones, radar detectors, money.

I once had a guy smash my window for a dollar and toll change in my ash tray.
Now that pissed me off.

Hide everything no matter where you are parked: city, burbs or country.

Sorry to see those pictures, they bring back bad memories.
