Do you need a cage? If not, then why get one? So you can bang your head on it? Spend money on good mods or save up for quality tires - things that will make a difference. What mods do you have already?

i think ive decided to get neither. JSWhaler is right, i might as well wait and get a cage that meets the scca standards and such. i would love to get the CF lip but like my brother said it just bolts on and will just be a perfect target for thieves so its not worth it. if anything im just going to find a cheap PU front lip. thanks for the opinions guys.

Yes it restricts seat travel.

BTW -- In an accident you are likely to hit your head on the roll cage itself. So unless you ride around on the street with a helmet on, it's a pretty unsafe mod to do.
