Voodoo Magnum shift knob from Rick's.

This ball is counter sunk, making it sit lower on the gearshift shaft, thus giving the shifter a shorter throw. This new short throw really changes the car for the better!

I haven't done them yet, but it looks like the gear set (4.44-old 4.56 / 4.77) is the best "butt" dyno performance mod you can get.

Still leaves the reliability, but improves gitty up.

After that - intake and exhaust to "let it breath"

What do you consider to be reasonably priced?

For a couple hundred bucks, you could do a Cold Air Intake.
For a little more, you could do a VAFC-2.
For about a grand, you could do gears.
For several grand, you could do the SC.

There aren't very many cheap (effective) mods for the S2000. Sorry.

depends on your goal...
show car or go car-
or both?
spugen dual ovals fit in the both category-
i also wanted to get rid of the orange that doesnt match anything else on the car, so put smoked diffusers on the front and smoked side markers on the sides- this mod is no "go" gains, but lotsa "show" gains!
and drilled and slotted rotors get rid of the rust and reduce weight a small bit.

I'm gonna say an X-brace. A lot cheaper than gears, etc. with handling improvements you can really feel.

The Voodoo knob is a good upgrade, too.

For "power" mods, most are a little dissapointing to those who expect big gains for little money. So I'd say if you want to go faster without FI, go with the gears.

I have done the exhaust, the voodoo shift knob and other assorted things but, by far, the best money I spent on my car was for Koni shocks and KG/mm Super Sport springs.

My next big mod will be either 4.56 gears with the reinforced diff or a set of Volk LE28N's.
