Honestly I never noticed much difference between products. If you want the car to look great you will see the best results by putting in a lot of time detailing the car in and out. Also the frequency in which you clean the car will be a big factor. I normally just buy cleaning supplies from walmart or an autostore.

I normally just use liquid wax and some sort of auto soap. For the wheels, wheel cleaner works real good but if you clean regularly it isn't needed much as the soap will get most of the stuff off. Tire cleaner foam works good to get the tires to shine well. for the engine bay CD2 engine cleaners works amazing.

I would also just lookup car detailing on youtube. You would be amazed at all the tips you will pick up.
