Best child's booster seat for S?
Just got my S last week, and my 4-year old daughter is already in love with the car. I take her on short drives from time to time, but the booster seat we have is kind of bulky. Wondering if anybody can recommend a more compact booster, preferably one that fits in the trunk when not in use.
I know there are some other posts on this topic, but they are a few months old, and just wondering if anyone had any new advice.
Thanks,
Andy

I would look at the link the the FAQ note about the passenger airbag disabling. Strongly advised if you're going to have your child in the car. Also, take a look at your owners manual on having a child passenger.
Is she big enough for just a booster seat or does she need the back support also? I picked mine up at Target, forget who makes it (Graco I think) but it's a two peice. The back detaches from the seat so that the child is just raised up enough for the seatbelt to fit properly over the shoulders. It fits in the S2000 with just the seat and it also fits with the back on. The downside to using it with the back is that even if you put the seat all the way back, the booster with the back on still puts the child about 3 inches closer to the dash and the airbag.
I don't use the booster anymore because I have a 4'6" 65 pound 6 year old amazon daughter that fits fine in the seat without any help. I also have a 5 year old boy that is about 3'5" and 30 pounds. He NEVER rides in the S2000, booster or not.

Recaro?

These are damn nice seats for 30lb and up kids. Costs $349-399.
Airbags AFAIR, are the only issue with carrying small children in the S2000.

Yeah, she is old enough for the booster, and I know all about the passenger side airbag risks. We live in the country, so the only significant riding she will be doing with me will be in the warm weather, on deserted back roads. I know, I know...there is always that risk, but I really feel that if your child is seated properly in the booster, with the seat all the way back, there is no way the airbag could reach the child even if it did deploy.
Anyway, like I said, her being in the car will only be on rare occassions, and in desolate areas, no where near traffic.
I was just doing some looking, and LaRoche has what looks like a nice seat, the Teddy Bear Booster. Looks comfortable, compact, and completely covered in fabric, so it won't mess up my seats. Not too mention, it comes in navy blue, which would look nice in my Suzuka. Might try to find it locally to check it out.
Thanks for the input.
