Default Best/Free HP booster!!!

Mother Freaking Nature.

Also known as cold weather in the Mid West.

Any other midwesterners/northeasterners noticed the significant increase in performance around this time of the year?

Plus the cold tires really allow for alot of tire spinning fun without beating up the car too much.

Only problem is that while you see 5% more throttle response, so does the guy next to you.

Yes... the turbos love the cold. Better acceleratin and alot more tire spinning. I can hardly get any traction in the first three gears now that it's cooled off.

Sounds like the recipe for a really big bang in the engine compartment. Liquid oxygen would be an insanely bad idea. Imagine the flames if just a little oil misted onto the headers, with a ton of oxygen nearby.

A Christmas Story.
Not quite...the line is from a dumb farelly bros. movie .

Dry ice is actually the most practical solution for a failsafe homemade cryo-cooling solution.
It sublimates relatively slowly while effectively cooling the very large amounts of air flowing over it so it doesn't compromise combustion.
Dry ice is the stuff that's put into F1 airboxes while the cars stand in the starting grid to prevent overheating during the formation lap and following starting procedure. You can see some of the pieces fall out sometimes. They just lie around and vaporize without a trace.
I have to admit that liquid oxygen could lead to a let's say -
much more explosive performance increase .
