Default Best Gas Mileage?

just out of curiousity, when we're not pushing our cars and driving like everybody else, what is the best way to get the most mileage out of our cars?

top up, no a/c, 6th gear cruising, 45-50 mph, no radio, low rolling resistance tires, slow boring acceleration, skip gears (1-2-4-6), lose weight (car, junk, and people), new air filter, tuning and spark plugs (60k miles+).

Some are worthwhile, others aren't - your choice

well, I don't know about radio but, you really don't want to accelerate slowly to whatever you want to get to. The best way is to get to that certain speed as fast as you want and THEN cruise. If you accelerate slowly, you'll spend more time accelerating when you coulda been crusing. I've experienced this first hand. I got waay more mpg then the slow accel method

Unless you face the speakers toward the rear of the car, and drive South. Then it acts like a turbocharger going down hill with a tail-wind. Ypu'll get at least 100 MPG
