which gear ratio is best for fun driving, and everyday commute other than stock?

you didn't say much about your driving style didn't you?

how do you define fun? fun as autobhan speed fun? or autocross 2nd gear fun?

I see no point in 'only' upgrading to 4.44s. If you're spending the money to do this then you should get at LEAST 4.56s, and maybe 4.77 depending on what type of driving you do most often.
