Love this topic...Scarlet's theme song is I Feel You by Depeche Mode and was the first song that I played when I rolled her off the showroom.

Other good driving tunes, A Slight Case of Overbombing by Sisters of Mercy, The Evil Powers of Rock and Roll by Supersuckers. Anything by Peter Murphy.

Man, this is a long list...

Being an audio/vidophile I listen to the only beautiful sound that is possibly in a S2000. The sweet sound of the engine and wind. Someday I plan on upgrading and adding satellite (XM or Sirius) stereo, but physics dictate there is no way to get any better than just passable sound quality in the S2000 cockpit.

I only took one CD with me the day I picked up my little honey: ZZ Top - Greatest Hits.

Now that she's beginning to get a little breakin time on the clock, 1,025 mi in 12 days, I tend to hit the mute button alot and just enjoy the engine music.

I keep the Soprano's first season "soundtrack" onboard. Not a bad mix CD.

Some highlights:
A3 - Theme from sopranos
Frank - It was a very good year
The Boss, Bo Diddley, Wyclef + more

There's a song for just about every driving situation on that cd.

Oh and did I mention I'm Italian and from New Jersey, so it kind of fits.

I'm sure plenty of those Texans have their stooks stocked with country music.

I've got a good trance CD in there right now which gets my adrenaline flowin. But, a little Hendrix does the trick for me at times too. I'm down with everything except country..

RUSH!!! Nothing but the best, baby!

But if I'm in a more violent mood, one of my mixes with Rage Against The Machine, Tantric, Fuel, Perfect Circle, etc.

I'd have to say Hip hop is probably my favorite kind of music but alternative like blink 182 and bands like that make me drive fast
