best oil
i recently bought a new blue s2000 and i was wondering what is the best oil for the s2000, i know i want to use synthetic but i can't until about 9000 miles, but what do you guys think is good for now?
Why Cant you run synthetic untill 9000 miles? I changed over to synthetic at 1500 miles, and plan on changing the oil again at 3000 miles, and EVERY 3K there after. The oil change at 1500 and agian at 3000 lets the metal shavings and burrs from the block come out early.

You can go to synthetic oil right away but it generally is not reccomended. Reason being is that synthetic oils allow the engine to break in longer than using a conventional. That is the reason why conventional is the better choice up to the second oil change. Many cars come factory filled with Mobil 1 Synthetic. Corvette, SS Camaro, WS6 Firebird, Porsche etc etc....
Id say just wait until the second oil change and then do to Synthetic. There is nothing better than using synthetic in the F20C especially at 9krpms
BTW...I changed my oil at 2000kms and am now using Conventional Valvoline 10W30. I now have 4000kms. Im changing the oil at 6000kms with Conventional Valvoline and going to do the Synthetic Switch at 10,000kms.
Good Luck

The idea of using synthetic oils is too extend the amount of time between oil changes. Synthetic oils are not supposed to break down as quickly as convential oils ...that's the reason synthetic is more expensive (because you aren't changing the oil as frequently).
If you are changing your oil every three thousand miles, you might as well stick w/ convential oils ...because you aren't getting any benefit of running synthetics (unless you like telling people you are using synthetics).
