Default Better than the secret compartment...

I always love reading about what people have found in their secret compartment, but I found something even better in a different place.

I was sitting in my car tuning my new stereo and happened to notice something green that looked like money behind the cup holder and under the console cover. After looking closer it sure was money

Took off the cover and found $40 along with some sets of directions and a receipt from a jewelery store for a repair job.

Went and bought some booze with it and got

I don't know how it got in there, but I'm glad the previous owner or dealer didn't find it

I guess they don't take off the console covers on the Honda Certified inspection. Okay by me

Honda Certified inspection is a joke. My friend used to work as a Honda mechanic at a dealer and he said that his co-workers would take the check list, sit in the car, and just check off that everything was ok without even looking.

Since that day he told me that, I never viewed certified used cars as anything better than buying from a regular used car dealer. Honda just probably cleans them up a little better to look "new".

Nice. The last time I took off my center console I found about 10 bucks in change that had fallen through the edge of the cup holder.

Hmm, maybe you better take the door panels off and look for drugs...

I had Muller Honda here in highland Park do a "certified inspection" on my S2k when I bought it.

They checked it out as perfect.

The guys here from the UWM forum took all of about 15 seconds to show me where it had been in an accident, had 3 panels replaced and repainted.

biggest waste of $100 ever.
