Default Beware of HMS Motorsports

I popsted this in response to The Reverends query about dynos of the SS exhaust. However, I think it needs its own thread.

--

Reverend,

You are wasting your time with HMS Motorsport and their SuperSprint exhaust. The company is filled with non-responsive assholes who don't return phone calls and do not have the product to ship. Unless you can find another source for this exhaust, I would recommend NOT dealing with Joe Marko and his merry band of clowns.

This, of course, is my opinion after several months of patiently waiting with no updates, no replies to emails, and no returned phone calls. I have been nothing but pleasant during all of my contacts with HMS. I am simply feed up with the bs at this point. To me, this exhaust is no longer worth the trouble to acquire it.

Mr. Marko also promised to become a board sponsor, according to Glen. I'm fairly sure this never happened either. Very sloppy!

Regards,
James

That's no good for business, although SuperSprint made exhaust systems are quite good in performance standards when compared with big Japanese brands as well.

I agree with James. They have a standard BS line about a canister being missing, which they used on me when it took forever to get the exhaust, then turned around and used on James (not knowing that we knew each other) as they were screwing him. I guess the BMW owners they serve are used to putting up with this crap. We're not.

Remember, these were the same guys with the exclusive on the three piece S2000 German mats, which they used to charge a unreasonable price.

I figured their promises to Glen that they'd become a sponsor were bull, too. These were made last summer. Has anyone seen an HMS banner on this board? Not me.

I'd say we should all boycott these con artists. Hopefully we can get the SS exhaust, which is quite good, from someone else.

I bought mats through them at a premium, but I now have the Muz mats, which, imo, are a much better design and quality.

Great Tim. We'll all cheer you on. It would be great having one of our own selling this.

So just by way of further warning, Rick and James seem like two guys who would come to this viewpoint very reluctantly. I'm sure if they feel this way, my crap detector would have been dinging long ago. I know I won't be dealing with HMS any time before I'll be eating at Denny's.

Is the HMS Motorsport you are referring to Hennessey Motorsports? If so, there are a lot of people on the viper board who have had issues with them in the past as well.
