Default Beware of Vans (and other high-profile vehicles)

Watch out when you're behind a Van (or SUV, or big Pick-up, etc.)

"I looked in the mirror and didn't see you! Your car is so low. I saw the car behind you, and thought I had room to back up."

Not even 2 months old and I just got my first ding! Stopped at a stop sing, the van (full size) in front started to pull out to make a left turn. I moved up, as did the car behind me, when ... OH NO! THE BACK UP LIGHTS CAME ON! I can't back up. Hit the horn .... BEEEEEEEEEEEP ... crunch! OH F**K!

Any one know, can you replace the bumper cover? I'd hate to get a bondo job with a paint patch.

Thats the same response I got when a old lady driving a Tauras backed into me. Tried to back up, then honked..... Gonna cost about $300 to fix, as they have to repaint the whole bumper. A lot more if you gonna replace the front bumper...

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.

I've been driving with my lights on in daylight more and more to increase the visibilty of my car; it's at least one step we can take.
