Bieg and the "Driving Gloves"
I've been on this board long enough to remember the last time all this was going around. From an impartial position, I see both sides making jibes & "personal attacks" from time to time. What surprises me the most, is that the moderators should be held to a higher level of etiquette, regardless of what a member of this board "flames." Unfortunately, that is not the case. IMO, this is still the best car board out there....but there is room for improvement. IMHO, the moderators need to lead by example. At the same time, there is no reason for anyone to flame. It's just not necessary.
I agree Bieg's posts tend to inspire passionate responses. I do not usually agree with Bieg himself but I enjoy the debates.
There is a general need for posters to be as civil as possible and have a thick skin anyway. Moderators need to keep neutral but active unless they want the site to become a useless propaganda machine or else the wild west.

I don't always agree with Bieg but I've really enjoyed most of his threads. He's passionate and knowledgable about this great little car.
Its too easy and simplistic to point fingers and play "he said/she said" but I would plead with forum managment and the moderators to work with Bieg to find a way to put this behind us.
This board needs differing and intelligent opinions. Rational thought is never a bad thing. Let's work together to find ways to move onward and upward.

And the problem with you is that when you agree with the guy posting the personal attacks or he is a friend of yours you turn a blind eye or worse yet jump on the band wagon.
Why is it that I am not allowed to post ANYTHING that might suggest modding has a downside?
