i'm having difficulty finding a bike hitch mount for my '04, found a shop in LA area (hitch-web) who makes one by welding to trunk pan, but still looking for a bolt-on set-up, da'lan does not seem to make one yet for this year....would appreciate any advice on this dilemma.

 

put on a little trailer hitch and use the extension that goes behind the car, I have heard you can put creases in your decklid by using the trunk mount type...

 

I used a Saris bones bike rack for 4 years on my 00 and carried my bike numerous times to events. The soft neoprene protectors never did anything to my cars finish and I am a detailer. Additionally, I wrap a cotton towel around the neoprene protectors to further insure there is no damage. Just make sure the surface is clean and doesnt pick up any dirt before you mount it. I can carry 2 bikes with no problems. Rack cost about $100 through most good bike shops. Planning on using it on my 04 for ride on Sunday. Hitches are ugly, add weight and cant be removed after you remove the bike.
