Default Bilstein PSS

So I've come to the conclusion that the Bilstein PSS coilovers will be the best set to fulfill my two goals:

1. Remove that horrible stock wheel gap.
2. A better ride with more responsiveness and less weight transfer while getting out of a turn.

Keeping in mind that this will be my daily driver and I'd only AutoX 2-3 times a year (with no track), I don't see the need for something super adjustable or as expensive as the V3s. At $860 and with the positive reviews that I've seen on this forum, they seem like a hard set to beat for my needs. Anyone with these coilovers - could you please shed some light on me before I pull the trigger and purchase them? Any details and/or examples would be tremendously helpful.

Thanks in advance.

I got em. They work great! I love the ride on them - well loved, mine are on their way out... I bought them used, and then put on 35K+ miles on them. They can make your car a scraper. I set mine to PSS recommended spec, and its low to eliminate most of the gap, yet you can drive it without pissing too much people off. You still have to angle it over steep driveways and big speed bumps, but I'm sure even OEM height s2000s will. Do it, you wont regret it!

Thanks for the information. How does it handle compared to the stock? Also how much have you lowered yours? Lastly, what PSS recommended spec are you talking about... how much you lower it?

I've been on the PSS9's for years now...hard to beat (for the price) IMHO. If mine were to blow tomorrow I would def. order another set.

Scott, could you give me some examples of how it compares to stock?

I cant tell you for sure since I have never had a stock S. Ive rode in stock S's, and it feels stiffer, but smoother. I bought my car with some ricer cut springs .

I looked up the recommended height up on bilsteins website, IIRC - it was a measurement from the top of the CO to the top of the spring perch, I think.

He's talking about regular PSS's, the non adjustable ones. NOT PSS9's, although I did buy my PSS9's used for 900$ here on the forums.

PSS9 here, and love them. I got them on the stiffest setting and no complaints from the passengers so they're great and they improve the suspension and handling of the car so much, deff a buy. Don't know how they compare to the pss9 but that's my input hope it helps.

Have a set of PSS's sitting on the garage floor. Waiting to install them.
