I love that black. But I think S2000s look bad in pictures. It just rounds its edges too much... but in some cases, saw this one red S2000 sitting on grass with its HIDs showing its bluish tint from the front, angled view.... looked hunkered down and ready to pounce. Saw a couple silver/black S2000s from front angle.... hunkered down again.... very nice. Black is definitely the most aggressive looking color. Great choice, man.

Hey 2x6spds, why didn't you ditch the front plate?? Worried?? As far as I know, only Irvine cops are a hassle around here. You might see an increase in mileage and a decrease in elapsed time not to mention a much better look.

Thanks Sideways. There's no doubt that the front plate is an eye-sore and a radar/laser target for testicularly irradiated police. Nevertheless, California Vehicle Code requires display of a front plate.

Hi HondaS2K

No Zaino. Last month, I used 3M rubbing compound (clear coat safe), Mother's polish - scratch remover, anti-swirl, Carnuba and Showtime spray finisher. (by hand only). Since then, I just wash it and California water blade it, use a polishing towel and an occasional shpritz of the Showtime.

Looks really impressive! Hopefully mine will look so beautiful too when I'm done polishing it . It's getting fairly cold here in Germany so there's plenty of opportunity for me to work on the S2k in the garage right now. I'm even getting winter-wheels mounted on my other cars this week.
BTW, why are the S2ks indicators/headlights orange in the US? Is it because of some superfluous law?

Great choice of color...but loose the front plate. I live in CA as well and for the
price of a fix-it ticket of $25, the S2K
looks a helluva lot better w/o the plate.
