Default Black Chrome emblem question

Does anyone know if the Black Chrome Emblem kit from Honda will fit a MY 2002 ? Other than the size of the emblem, what would be different?

Thanks for the help.

Jaysom,

about two years ago my wife bought me the black chrome kit. It looks great and I'm glad I got it. The front and back H badges came off and went on with no problems, took maybe 1/2 hour since I was being careful. HOWEVER, the side S2000 emblems were an absolute BITCH to get off and I tried everything, goo gone, Zenit, wd-40, you name it. In the end I ended up with some noticable scratching around that area even though I had it taped. The two side peices took over 2 hours to do and in my mind they don't really look any different. Maybe since then someone has come up with some solvent that will easily remove the crud they hold the side markers on with but if not I might just do the front and back ones. The kit is still worth it though - love that look!

I agree with RU2KREDY - the side badge job was a bitch...and they really don't look much different. However, I hadn't discovered Zaino yet, and has some nasty dried Maguires wax on the side badges so I replaced them. The keyword is patience. I bought one of those plastic putty knives (had a sharp edge) to do the job and ended up with no scratches. I wont dispute that it takes a long time. If I hadn't had the wax issue, I would have left well enough alone. The package is still a great price, even if you only use the front and rear.

I am not so sure about this. The '02 emblems are larger than the previous years. So if the pin holes do not line up perfectly, you could have problems.

I too have been wanting these emblems for my '02. Another member (Triple H) is going to be installing them on his '02 because of some unfortunate circumstances. I asked him to let me know as soon as he has them on.

Jaysom, I know for a fact that they the H Badges will fit correctly. matrix is right that the 02 Badges are slightly larger then the previous model years, but the pins do line up correctly. Just getting the glue stuff off, around the edges, can be a pain.

Here's a post that will help you remove the H Badges..

Good luck!

I don't have a pic but I do have the black chrome on my car. You have to have the original and black chrome side-byside to see any difference.

for the side s2000 badge that is...

H badge looks much better IMO
