Hey that was me. Yeah I would have loved to play but there was sort of a lot of traffic. Thats cool you are getting one soon. I lurk here all the time I had to get off at the Royal exit so there was no time to play. Anyway maybe some other time. I'd really have liked to see how it hung with the WS6.

Acceleratrix: cool, yeah i'd really like to see how it hangs with the ws6 as well. traffic was pretty bad, sorry for the frat assumtion just don't see many guys about my age in a nice car that don't fit in that category especially in the plano area. Probably a good thing we didn't race.. road was a lil wet, and we ran into a pewter SS camaro and another TA racing earlier that night and the kid in the SS almost lost it going around 120, dumbasses were weaving in and out around traffic on wet pavement.

WS6. Was that an LT1 or LS1? If it was the former than we would have been pretty even (i believe). I've raced one before, we were going down the the access road of 75 at about 50 and he was staying beside me so I dropped it to second chirped the tires and flew. He hit it almost at the same time but my early start got me a half car length ahead. Then we stayed even through out a pretty good part of my third gear when I shut it down for a light. At the light I didn't give it a 6000rpm launch. But when it turned green he squeeled his tires hit a patch of watter couldn't get traction and I was able to stick with him.

But anyway, I usually have a led foot, especially when it comes to serious competition.

Yeah its a LT1, '96 ws6. acutally the older ones have better low end torque and should do better at stop lights. the newer ones have better top end and are better for highway racing. if anything you'd probably beat it out barely in top speed but it should edge out a stook in a drag.. (with the right driver of coarse) they run 13.5's best i've seen for the stook is 13.8 and that was by a pro.. most are lucky to hit low 14's.

I'd be really happy to see a stook do that though cause i'm passing on a new SS camaro to wait on this s2000. i know the SS has alot more power but its handling sucks and doesn't look near as sweet as a s2000.
