Black Tape Around Windshelid Window

Default Black Tape Around Windshelid Window

hi, i was wondering if you can get the black tape back on the windshild window if the tape is off? coz i like the tape, but when i got the car, the previous owner had the tape taken off already.

please let me know if there is a way the black tape can be put back. thank you!

Take it to a paint shop,and get it painted black.

I don't think you have that option. Once the tape is removed, it would be unlikely that the dealer would put it back as the original tape was covered from the factory.

You can buy that tape as a kit. It's sold in any Honda parts dept.

Yes, you can buy the tape, but I would think that the install might be a real PITA to get it to sit back in the edges and look like it did from the factory. Getting it painted actually seems like a better idea to me, it shouldn't cost too much and it will come out perfect.

The original owner of my car said he scratched his tape on one side. Then the new piece wasnt the same color of black, so he had the dealer replace all three pieces. Dealers said they had to remove the winshield to replace it. Which might be BS not sure but he said it cost him $500.

I am pretty sure that, to get a OEM quality replacement of the tape, you would need to remove the windshield since the tape originally resided under the rubbergasket that surrounds the windshield.

I have not seen a windshield come out without it (the windshield) being destroyed in the process so.....
