Blind Spots???
Does anyone know if there are blind spots or do the mirrors cover the view?
When looking over your left shoulder, can't really see anything (blocked by the convertible top) so can rely on the mirrors???
Thanks.

i believe the worst is an angled intersection because the blindspot makes it hard to see incoming traffic...the mirrors help a little but in this case i say proceed with cause because the mirror won't help you much.
Nope sure can't see a thing. You have to have a pretty good memory and know what's happening around you. For instance, what cars you past and what cars are coming from behind. I usually lean forward and look behind.
I was tempted to get the autobahn mirror that was offered at properautocare.com, but decided not to get it. I was thinking about putting it on the right side of the windsheild so the mirror would be angled to point to the left side of the rear window. So basically, from the drivers side, I would just look over to the right side of the windsheild to see if there are any cars on my left blindspot, without turning your head. Not sure if you understand??!! I decided not to try it out b/c I didn't want something sticking out of from my windsheild, my V1 is bad enough.

Another way to reduce the blind spot is to buy the hardtop!
Have a look at this article. I have tried this setup on both my cars and it seems to work fairly well. You have to learn to trust what your mirrors tell you. The one problem with the S2000 is that the side mirrors really don't have enough travel to properly set this up but because the car has such a short backend it still works.

Just FYI. Mingster got a new set of mirrors that he's playing around wuth that is suppose to reduce the blindspot. I think they might be from Mugen, but I can't remember. You might want to e-mail him for more info on the mirrors.

I bought the mirrors from mingster. They are made by Spoon Sports. They are wide angle so they distort your view. Everything appear much farther away that it is but they completely elimate blindspots. You just have to remember that the semi that looks like it's two to three car lengths back is actually right next to you. I happen to like them a lot but they do take some getting used to.
Sure am glad I'm short. I have to keep the seat fairly forward. With the mirrors angled out and a good memory, I have yet to experience the blind spot problem. But then I drove trucks for a while and had to get used to that problem.
