Default blow off valve

hey everyone i have an 2004 S with a comptech supercharger and i am getting my 7lb pulley installed today and getting tuning done today also. i was wondering if i should get a better blow off valve like the like the godzilla bov for saftey reasons like someone told me or is it just for the pure sound of it on this kit. also how nice does this blow off valve sound because bov do sound sweet.

I'm not famaliar with the set up, however 7PSI on that sized compressor is not a lot of boost. I doubt you would have any leaking problems. While tuning if you have boost dropping off, or a nice screeching sound your BOV is leaking and you should go for it. If you're into noisemakers and the regular BOV is not leaking, I guess go for it. Sounds like a good way to waste of a few hundred dollars on something that will get annoying.

Who ever told you the godzilla would be better for S/C is retarded. The spring in it is too stiff.

How so? The Godzilla will work just as well as anyother one on the market. The only advatage is that it bolts right on the aftercooler. Plus it is pretty loud. The spring is not to stiff, it is adjustable.

The preload is adjustable, not the spring rate. It's too stiff for 7psi. That's really the end of the discussion.

From reading the UTH forum, godzilla is the preferred over anything else.

Please explain why the stiffness makes it bad.
