Default blue HID headlights?

did you ever notice the first time you use your headlight, it was a shade of blue when you look head on when you go sideways?
i noticed mine that its just bright white now. no shade of blue at all. i was just wondering if you guys have the same situation.

With nearly 6K miles on my '01...I'm still seein' blue Sad to gather that I'll lose that purdy color [love tha' stiff suspension "bounce" the lights do at night heading down the road...especially cool on other folks' license plates cuz when my HIDs bounce on our white VA plates...rainbow/prizm of colors!]...

it only appears to be blue because its more of a "white" light compared to other cars which are more of a yellowish orange color. that's my take.

Just happens when the high intensity is discharging to full output ... Though colors are known to be seen at different angles when vehicle is in motion nevertheless.

Actually you can have a bulb that stays blue. I believe someone on the board was selling them also. What happens is the bulbs we have now only go up to 4300k which is a bright white light but the other bulbs go to 6300k which is more of a blue white light. I have seen these bulbs in many cars as I have them in my Tahoe and my Lightning. If you do a search I am sure you can find these bulbs but be advised they are about 200.00 each bulb !!

My friend purchased the Vision HID kit for his Celica and you can choose what color you want. He choose purple and they look sweet. If you know how a Celica looks image the whole housing lighing up with a purple tint. Love the look.
