Default Blue Top

Hey gang.

Kinda new here, I just got my 04 Suzuka last month. It was used with a few thousand miles. It came with a blue top, and I was wondering if this was standard on the 04's. Seems that all the 05's come with a black top and the blue is a $995 option. If this was an option, I think I got a freebie that the dealer didnt know about. Car also came with Lo Jack Early Warning System that I got at no extra charge. I am starting to think my good deal got better.

The blue soft top is a dealer installable accessory. It lists for $995. I don't think there are that many blue soft tops in the USA. The Miami dealer I got mine from didn't know it existed.

Yup, $995 option, even on suzuka. And available for every color combo, which is bizarre. Looks great on the silvers with the black leather and on the suzuka, but Rio with a blue top? Red and black interior with a blue top? NFR? Yuck. They won't let you put the red and black leather in a berlina or a gpw, but you can spend a grand on a blue top that should only be available for half the color combos.

BlueDevil, if its dealer installable, why wouldn't they install it on whatever car the costumer paying them tells them. Of course it would be horrible taste to put it on most color combos, but, for the dealers, its all about the money

Thanks for the info guys. I did not get any paperwork with the car, so I was confused when I saw all the other black tops on the Suzukas. Well, I am surprised that the Honda dealer did not press me to spend more for the more expensive top. I am just happier every day I get into this car!
