hey guys, just thought I would give you some information I have found on this site. When people have gone with replicas, the parts are USUALLY, NOT ALWAYS, of lower quality. They are sometimes very thin. They sometimes do not fit very well at all. So do be careful when you decide to go replica. Good luck!

Replicas are not thin...they are usually THICKER. Original Japanese parts are made very thin because the Japanese Market prefers it.

Thin doesn't equal cheap, necessarily. But yes, many replicas are not as good as the original. But at 1/3 the price, they aren't 1/3 the quality either. But some fit poorly. How do you know which is which? You don't usually, so some people will tell you positives and others will tell you only negatives.

There are alot of decisions involved in choosing the style kit and to go with a replica or not. My advice, get the kit you want regardless of price. Don't get a kit just because it is low price because your car won't look how you want it to. You will be much happier spending the extra money for the look you want.

There are Cwest and Veilside copies out there. There's also replica amuse front lips. There are also some kits like the Viper that are not replicas but are less expensive than a normal original kit.

Hope that helps.

I would say wait it out and get the real kit. usually replicas are of poorer quality and dont have the perfect fitment that the real ones do. Just my two cents. Get the hood and maybe part of the kit now and then add the rest on whenever, just a thought.
