Body Kits?
Whats up with the drastic prices in body kits on ebay. They are all brand new and some come with front/rear bumbers and side skirts for around $400-$500, while some front lips alone are $300. Are the cheap body kits "crappy" or has anyone had any experience with these styles.
Also, I am looking for a body kit, and am looking for new front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts. My current bumpers need to be repainted so i figured i would go ahead and by a new kit. Any advice would be great...thanks.

I have no personal experience but here is my take on it as I too have been browsing for a bodykit.
It seems like a "brand name" higher dollar body kit is described as a perfect fit guarranteed. While an ebay special makes it a point to say that fitment is not guarranteed, minor or major bodywork may be necessary for correct fitment. If you don't mind getting dirty and if you do have some bodywork experience then it seems like you can save a buck by going ebay. But ultimately you get what you pay for.

you have to make sure about the shipping cost when buying large parts from ebay. usually the item itself is not that expensive but they would jack up the shipping cost.

It will cost as much or more in bodyshop charges to get it to fit and look halfway decent as it would just to buy the real thing. Then you stand a good chance of it looking like ass. Not to mention the cracking that you will have in a month of driving. Basically the same as buying Supertech oil from Wal-Mart for .88 cent a Quart.

You should be weary of anything like this on Ebay. Better off just spending the money on the name brand piece IMO, where fitment/quality is guaranteed.
Think of how much it'd suck to save some on a cheap kit, but then end up spending just as much as the real thing to get it to fit. Then, you have a cheap knock-off that's likely to break, but you've spent as much as the name brand piece.

Don't put on anything that is cheap on your car. If you do, that is what you have; some cheap piece on your car. If you can't do it right, just leave it stock; the line stock lines are so beautiful on this car.
