BodyKit Feedback
Good Afternoon, I was wondering on how durable the fiberglass kits some of you might have purchased are. Im interested in purchasing one and was told that fiberglass breaks eaisly. I know if I hit something pretty hard it would crack but what about for example rocks on the expressway or debree. Would that crack it as well. Also do body kits normally reduce the price of the car if you try to sell it. Thanks for your feedback.
Fiberglass bodykits are actually pretty durable. I had bodykits on my previous cars and as long as you dont hit anything really hard you should be fine. If you hit something itll most likely just ruin your paint so its not to bad. small rocks and such on the freeway should not really be to big of a deal, it would effect the paint more usually. Make sure you get a decent quality kit and not a knock off becasue the knock offs usually are a lot thinner in a lot of cases. I noticed bodykits also do reduce the price of the car but you can put your stock bumers back on pretty easily.
Hey, I was just talking to one of my boys today about Fiberglass kits. He has had quite a few and what he does is, gets a 3M Clear that goes over the existing paint and the clear coat. He says it should be fine. Totally reduced the chipping of the paint. No spider cracks what so ever. So if you dont wanna go Urethane, go fiberglass and get that coating.
