i noticed a lot of you went the supercharger route instead of a turbo...why is that? superchargers require power to "make" power and the s2000 just doesn't seem to have the displacement to make boost as efficiently as a turbo would. Superchargers seem better suited for a V8 while a turbo seems to match better with the 4 cylinders....what am i missing?
The reliability of a s/c. Theres been many thread about it. Some of us s/c guys are making just as much power as the turbo guys. Plus not many of the turbo guys have been running problem free.

i would guess the main cause of turbos leading to problems would be no tuning or inexperienced tuners. there also seems to be a lot of "piecing together" of turbo setups because of the lack of kits available that is contributing to this.
i would be curious to see a side by side comparison of how a turbo running 7psi and a comparable supercharger setup fared on a dyno. seems like the power delivery would be much more desirable with a turbo.
i appreciate any input on this topic as i have considered going turbo for a while.
