Default Boost limit?

Whats the highest boost a sc will give me? I know there are 11psi pulley's, what is the highest psi pulley you can get, or let a shop custom make one for you? Also if I go with a front mount intercooler, i'll loose .5 psi right?

I have a feeling there are a few more questions you need to ask before this one. The limitations on the SC are related to it's compressor map. I believe the Paxton Novi 1000 is reasonably efficient up to about 17 psi with the F20C.

Intercoolers don't greatly restrict airflow. The reason you see less pressure is because they cool the charge air. The lower the temperature, the lower the pressure. But it's still the same amount of air, and that's what's important.

But before you comtemplate any of this you might want to look at the engine. It has 11.1:1 compression and an open deck. I wouldn't consider anything above 10psi without a purpose built block and serious engine management.

Neh, still thinking if i'll go turbo or sc, but I have more reasons to go turbo then sc.
I'll start boosting 9 or less, then when I get everything that I need, i'll rebuild my engine, think i'm gonna lower my compression to 9:1 cause I found some that are 8.1:1 but thats too low.
And think I wont be boosting more then 20 psi.
Well thx for the info about the sc man.

So you're talking about doing alot more than just the kit if you want to push more than 11psi... You'll need emanage at the least and an AEM is better. You will have to replace the fuel injectors also, since the stock ones are maxed at 350rwhp....about 11psi.... Then there comes the tuning...

Basilly at this point your are almost creating your own kit...how much have you researched this??

Not trying to discourage you, just want you to be aware of the challenges...

What ever way you choose, having a head reworked by a proven craftsman to increase the flow is worth 40 to 60 hp (or more) if you have a boosted S2000. It's equivalent to having the performance of 11 or 12 pounds of boost at only 7 pounds.

The use of Ti retainers decreases the valvetrain weight by about 5% and eliminates the factory retainer breaking problem.
Lightweight stainless valves stand up to the hotter demands of the supercharged S2000.

All of this allowing the redline to be increased a little bit to take advantage of the increased flow of the modified head for top end performance gains.

Well what I'm planning to do or basicly getting info for. If I get a SC, what are the limits of boost. I'll start using the everything like the kit comes. And if I want more power, I can do it, just wanting to know what the limits of the SC are. If I can get atleast 17 psi or 20 psi of boost of changing the pulley. Then it'll be a project I wanna start. If now, then I'll have to go and start rethinking a turbo kit. Changing the valves, that wills start when I want to boost more then 9 or before I can go 11 with a AEM ecu.
