Default Bought my S2000 today..

I posted before, but today I took the plunge. I got a 2001, yellow. I love this car so far. I have had other more muscle based cars, and this thing just blew my mind. I am however interested in some small upgrades, and wanted to ask your opinions on them and where I may find them. On the more cosmetic side of things, I'd like to buy a carbon fiber hood and some larger wheels. The style I had in mind are the HRE 540Rs. The HREs are a little too much, but I want a very similar style. Suggestions?
I'm also interested in knowing what small modifications are worth looking into. Such as intake, exhaust, electronics, etc. Opinions on this?

So in summary:

1. Where can I buy a CF hood

2. What are some similar wheels to the HRE 540R

3. What are some decent mods to add hp, or improve handling.

First of all, a huge congratulations to you! I've found in my first 6 months of owning an S that it is both an honor and a privelage to drive such a car.

Without supercharging or an elaborate turbo setup it's hard to squeeze anymore out of what is already a great engine. Realistically exhaust and intake might get 10hp at the most which most everyone will tell you is something you won't feel. I would concentrate on weight reduction, and if it's not going to see too many highway miles, the rick 4.57 (now 4.56) rear gear set makes it a bit more fun.

Mine's lowered on espelir springs, again though, the handling on this car is phenominal to begin with. I would check Seibon for the CF hood though, they seem to make a fair product.

Sorry, I'm no help with the wheels, still shopping for some of my own.

Check out my setup.

To add to what's said above, instead of spending money on a car you've only had for a brief period, try going out at your local track or auto-x. I bet you'll get more enjoyment out of your money doing that than having a a piece of carbon fiber bolted to your car.

For wheels, check bbs, they make a similar looking wheel. The whole VOLK racing line-up is pretty good also. Check out the wheels and tires forum, or check the sponsor links. Congrats!

Is there really any need to attempt to improve on the suspension?

The only thing wrong with it is the fender gap.

I agree, the main differences between the S2000 and "muscle cars" is better handling and less power. So you'll enjoy the car more if you can use the handling more
