Default Bought used bumper - seller wasn't honest

I recently bought a used 03 bumper from a member here on s2ki. I will not go into detail as to who it is, but here's the story. Seller said it was in great shape, and that there were only little scratches on the bottom side of it that you can't see - normal for a lot of bumpers. I bought it for 250 dollars, and my friend went and picked it up for me. He calls me later that night and asks if I knew that the passenger side faux vent was cut out... probably used for a CAI. I did NOT know that.

The seller never told me about the vent, and after I PM'd them they still have given me no response, no apology - nothing. I decided to keep it because I don't want to have to deal with it anymore, but now I have a dillemma: what do I do?

Is there a way to carefully cut the vent out of my current car and somehow apply it to the new one? I do NOT want there to be a hole there, because it looks ghetto like that. It doesn't improve airflow anyway. I'd spend money for a grillcraft grill, but then my bumper is going to end up costing me 400 dollars instead of 250.

So, has anyone ever been in my situation, and had to apply the faux vent from one bumper to another with good results?

Cut out the other side to balance things off and maybe put some mesh in so it looks decent?

Name the seller so we can all avoid the scumbag in the future.

Is the bumper in good shape other than the cut out? The seller should have told you about the cut out, but maybe it wasn't important to him/her. Sounds like a good reason to add fog lights imo.

My club president just offered to help me with making a custom grille, we just have to find the right material because I don't want that chickenwire mesh people use sometimes.

http://www.grille-tech.com/detail.html?mak...arch=Search+%BB

The "race" style would look alright if it was painted black, we just need to track down the material. If anyone can chime in as to where I could get it, please let me know. I will also be asking the seller if he'll go halves on the material with me, if not I will definitely call him out

I hope things get straightened out well because I do not want to give anyone a bad name, but I guess I need to look out for my and everyone else's best interest you know?

Saki, from what I'm told the bumper seems to be in good condition. I still have not seen it yet. My friend went to Charlotte to visit family and picked it up from one of the Carolina members.

depending on how it was cut out it should be very easy to cut off yours and stick it on the other bumper and no one would every be able to tell...

Are you totally against cutting out the other side to match? I did this when I had my AP1 bumper, I thought that it looked better.
