Default brainstorming about the interior. what have you done?

ya know, i saw a chip on the gear shift trim the other day, and it occurred to me that i haven't planned any mods for the interior. i did some searching, but i still didn't find anything i liked so i'd love to see pics of what you've done.

few things rolling around in my head:
-ryanitv's two-toned red/black interior
-mac's footwell lights are a definite once he's done
-rubbing alcohol on the trim to remove the finish (i hear that it doesn't shine up though like the older models. true?)
-carbon fiber of some sort for accents. just need to see pics.

again, i hope you all got some good interior shots to inspire me.

Do a search for Kodokan_4's interior. He has some sort of carbon look coating on most of his interior thats pretty impressive.

I'm kinda leaning toward a simple aluminum dash kit.

yep. i'm already in touch with him. quite the look ... and quite the price tag too. the one thing i didn't like about that look is it was a bit too much. the shine on it, that is. i prefer something toned down. the aluminum look ... there weren't any pics of, but i'd be interested in checking it out.

I don't think you can buy just the red inserts for the seats.

I have seen one or pics of the aluminum dash kit; it looks nice.

it will go well with my black interior...and it will break the the bit boring look of the dash
i will do this in 2 weeks time

If I keep my current S2000 (I might either be down sizing to a cheaper car or going the other extreme and getting an '04)... here are my plans for the spring

Disassemble the entire interior. Going to "dynamat" any areas that rattle (there are several). Also going to lube anything that needs to be, and just give it all a nice cleaning.

Installing component speakers up front (the stock setup for '00-01 isn't great unless you like muffled sound).

Installing a new headunit

Moving my upgraded front speakers to behind the seats

Re-upholstering the seats to match the black/red look of the '04's

Finding a way to secure my Muz mats so they dont slide around (the velcro provided doesn't do anything)

Fixing the gaps in my steering column trim pieces

Removing most of the aftermarket "stick-on" trim kit I installed.

Upgrade to MY 04 Radio Door

Upgrade to MY 04 Centre Console (provided it will fit)

katzkin! they provide kits for self-install, or you can find a professional shop to do the work for you

this is a company who says it will do the whole interior for me(blue and black) for like 900$
they will change all the leather in the car , and they will replace it with something of much better quality
i wont do this now...i will however do it , when my leather looks like shit
