Default brake clicky type noise?

i just started hearing on the brake pedal a clicky type noise when you apply the brakes to the car while driving and parked. anyone know what this could be? for instance when your car is parked pump the brake a few times and see if you hear a click. i dont believe i have heard anything like this before. anyone know if this is calls for concern? should i take it to the dealership and have it looked at?

Is it a metallic type of sound? like metal creaking against another metal? If so I know my old mustang had that sort of sound and I believed it was just the calipers rubbing with not enough lube or something. It would be hard for me to believe that a my 05 would be having this trouble but I thought I'd throw it out there if only to have people tell me I'm wrong and generate some interest in this thread for ya! Good luck. Maybe describe the sound better? What instances can it be heard? while driving? while turning the wheel? Only parked? only after pressing the brake pedal hard? soft? etc etc.

Sounds like your pads are floating. Are you on the OEM brake system?

I'd take it to the dealer. It could be a number of things from floating pads to malfunctioning ABS.
