Yep.

There is NOTHING that does both well. If you are only going to get one, get a track pad and drive them on the street. Say goodbye to clean wheels and hello to brake squeal.
Point taken. However, I would warn everyone against doing that with the NEW Cobalt GT-Sports. They have TERRIBLE cold performance (see this thread for more info on wear, corrosion, and customer service of this new formulation: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=537024)

I finally found some other threads on the subject and I heard that the brake pad that I'm looking for is called the unicorn pad Wonder how they compare with the loch ness pad.

With that said, I just ordered a set of Carbotech AX6's. I'm going to try leaving them on (who has time to re-bed brakes every time they change?) If it doesn't work, I can always revert back to changing pads back and forth with the OEM pads. And re-bedding them

I use the AX6's and I leave them in all the time. The squeak a little when cold but they hold up well for HPDE. My next set will be the xp8's but then I will definitely switch for track days.
OK, they squeak (like REAL race pads ). How did they do for rotor/pad wear on the street? Dusting worse than OEM?! (It's hard to imagine dusting could be worse than OEM, but what do I know).

I ran XP8's at the track and loved them. With a very careful install I was able to get them down to only a slight squeak at light stops. Switching back to the stock pads was a real let down in terms of initial bite. I could have probably lived with it but there was alot of dust and stockers are 1/3 to 1/4 the price.
