All 93 oct gas is the same it comes out of the same tank at the terminals.

The only diff. is how much and what kind of additives are injected.

I think Mobil is the best.

The gas it self is the same.

The injections are diff.

My job is dispatching over a 1,000,000 Gal. of gas a day.

I know several mechanics and they all recommend BP/Amoco.

I used to use Shell in my GTI VR6. I switched to Mobil for the convenience of the Speed Pass until it started to make the catalitic reek of that sulfur smell. I switched to Amoco by my mechainc's recommendation and it went away.

I have since been using Amoco (now BP) for over two years and have not had this issue.

I sure do miss the Speed Pass, though! Hell of a concept.

Don't know if you all have access to QuikTrip, but it is the best cheap gas on the market. I'm in Dallas, but grew up in L.A., so I'd compare their prices to those of...Arco? Race Track? Always the cheapest on the block, but still quality gas.

I get Chevron 80% of the time, Shell 15% of the time, and 76 5% of the time.

Shell, Chevron, 76, Mobil, Texaco, Exxon, ..., in that order if they are the same price. If not, then whichever is the cheapest.
