Default Breaking in ACT Clutch

What would be the ideal method and duration for breaking in an ACT Street Clutch kit with lightened flywheel?

I've searched the forum, and haven't found anything comprehensive on the topic.

500 EASY miles, ideal doing stop and go traffic, not 500 freeway miles, don't harsh engage. don't vtec.. basically just like a new car, don't put too much load on it... meaning go 10%, 20% 30% on the throttle, not 70% right away.

u'll be good to go.

NO VTEC?

This is going to be a LONG wait - already been without a car for 6 weeks

Are you boosted? If not, then I'm not sure VTEC matters.

Basically you're trying to let the components of your clutch settle in.

I think VTEC or no VTEC matters less than staying off full throttle and high rpm shifts.

The clutch engagements are what set everything, so don't try and just drive a long way and think your good.

Not boosted - but preparing for it...

So basically - many short shifts, low power, would be the best approach?

Thanks All!

Out of interest, how long did your first ACT kit holdup?

Depends on what you're using it for. Mine lasted ~30,000 miles. But we went through two differentials in that time period if that gives you any indication of use...

I'm sure, like any clutch it can last 100,000 miles. We were worn down to the screws.

Well - I drive pretty hard - I'd be happy with around 30,000 miles
