Default Bronze tinted window glass - can we get it made?

so i recently got some bronze tinted glass windows for my crx. they came on special edition cars in japan from the factory. these windows are NOT film tinted. the bronze tint is in the glass. personally, i REALLY like this.

looking around i noticed some cars have this from the factory too. like old legends, infinitis and whatnot.

so im wondering, could it be POSSIBLE to get some aftermarket window manufacturer to make these for our cars?

i mean, these cars need to get window replacements when their cars break. and some company must be making s2000 window replacements too. anyway to combine these?

does anyone work in the window replacement industry? care to give some ideas?

Does my Legend (92 LS) have bronze glass windows? I guess it kind of looks like it, but whats the purpose?

it just gives a nicer look. i cant say whether it blocks any more UV or not. but its definately better than the greenish/blue natural tint of normal glass.

its subtle, but very nice.

again, im not asking if they had this as some option in japan. im pretty sure it isnt.

but if cars HERE have some tint, and aftermarket manufacturers have to be able to replicate the factory tint (or maybe they dont?) so then they can make an aftermarket s2000 window with similar tint.

yes? maybe? no?

What would be the advantage to having this bronzed glass over just tinting your windows with a light film, bronze in color? No doubt replacing the windows would be much more expensive than tinting, I'm just wondering if there's a functional/style advantage.

I'm all about using window film - it's a sharp look, but I really see no reason to not go with 50 or 65% bronze film. It's something I'd personally only like w/ certain color combinations...

for a black interior and a similar look, I'd got w/ a very light film in charcoal grey or black

absolutely, for practicality sake, im best looking for a light tint film.

but, im just asking to see what kind of answers and insight i can get of the aftermarket glass industry. if they can make bronze tint glass, why not just use the same formula and create a new product line for all cars.... something to think about yeah?

apparently no one who owns a s2000 has worked in the window glass industry...

It'd be killer on GPW/tan, but I'm not sure about other combos...

I'd touch up a glass repair shop and see what they know, but my bet is that it'll be a really unusual request and that the demand isn't there (wait for the look @ the tint shop when you tell 'em you want 65s - a lot of times they wont even carry film that light because a high % of their customers want 35 at the lightest)

well, i happen to have black and tan interior. so it would actually look pretty sweet.

but even on someones 1991 legend i just drove in yesterday, all the windows including the windshields are bronze, it just looks clean. cant explain it until you see it for yourself.
