Default brown specks on bumper R back........

I had my rear 02 bumper re-painted under factory warranty at the same time I had my air walker kit installed. The reason being was tiny brownish specks all over the bumper. Not even the claybar would remove it. The body shop attempted to compound/wet sand and that didn't even work. They ended up re-painting it under warranty and now these ugly brown specks r back

what the heck?? Is it my exhaust? I have 1400 miles on the 02 and that's the only thing i can think of......however this never happened with my white 00 which i also purchased New?

Have any other s2kr's encountered this (especially white s2kr's).

I guess i have to go back to the dealership What am i to do... get it painted every couple months

I get these as well. On my Spa Yellow, they show up as "black". It must be from the exhaust. If I wash the car & take it out and VTEC a lot, I notice the little spots. I try to always keep a good coat of wax on the car & that helps to make them easier to remove. I admit - even then it takes a lot of elbow grease.

Yep! Get those dam black spots too! I guess with White S2k--it's really noticeable. I figured it was from the exhaust. If anyone has a solution to making them vanish--please share!

I haven't seen them on my rear bumper (MY2000 White), but I do have them on the inner rear fender, right behind the rear wheels. I have tried everything to remove them without success too...

Hmmm, haven't noticed any on the rear bumper as of yet but I do have them on the front bumper. They come right off, probably by the help of wax. And the S is also white too.

No brown spots but I've noticed that after running hard for an extended period the rear bumper has a yellow-brown film on it. My guess is that its exhaust. It washes off though.

Got pics?

Here also. I found that after the rings seated and the S2000 used less oil, I don't really get the black soot on the bumper. ymmv.

it's gotta be the exhaust

I'll take some pics soon

what i can't figure out is how somethin like this could happen especially after all the zaino on my ass..... i mean my car's ass

if you are as anal as me and have had this same problem, there's no way you can get it out trust me no clay bar, no wax, no compound or wet sanding

The dealer was real cool the first time around...they paid for it to be re-painted. I would just hate to have to get it painted a second time.... whadaya think!!
