Bluefin is planning to release 2 different lightweight alloy wheels, the BF1 and BF2RG. Both wheels are 2 piece cast designs, and are made in Japan. Pricing is expected to range between $275- $375 depending on the size.

The BF1 is a 6 spoke design and will be available in 17x7, 17x8, and 17x9 with offsets ranging from 35 to 50mm. They are expected to weigh in at around 16 lbs. 16" wheels might also be available if there is enough demand.

The BF2RG has 7 twin spokes and will available in 16x7 and 16x8 with offsets ranging from 35 to 50 mm. These should weigh around 14lbs.

The colors available are: Gunmetal disk with silver clearcoated rim, All satin black, or silver clearcoat.

I'd like to know how many of you might be interested, what kinds of offsets you'd prefer, and if there are any other color combinations that might take your fancy.

Thanks
Matt

unless you are running aftermarket calipers I don't see why anyone would want anything less then 50mm in any of those widths

Quite right. They're intended to be used with Spoon Calipers also.

Hmm...SSR Competition knockoff sounds nice. The only thing that turns me off is that they are cast. If they were forged, it would appeal to me a lot more (lighter and stronger).

It'll also be quite a bit cheaper!

Go with a 55+ offset for the rears, make them forged and make them available with a bright, shiny, polished finish.

Lightweight 16's, You can get lightweight 17's in the right offsets.
16's are basically impossible to come by. I agree cast scares me, but maybe there's no choice.

00-itr-373 tell me what you'd like for offsets. there are 2 different versions.. 1 w/ 6 spokes and a 7 spoke that looks a lot like the old Sparcos..
The cast is of high quality and is joint venture w/ Speed.

Honestly the closer to stock the better. I mean, light wheels (Spoon and Volk) can be had in 16", it's the offset that keeps (I'm guessing) a lot of people away from these. I'm just trying to get the ball rolling and people discussing it. Not sure I'd be in for a set.

I do realize that you're keeping the cost down here, so from your point of view, maybe offsets similar to spoon and volk are no problem, and people will buy due to low cost. I'm not sure which way will happen.

Hope that helps.

Exactly. I am forced to run OEM wheels for the track if I want to run a low stance and not have any rubbing. If you could come out with something like the stock offsets that is nice and light, I would be all over that.
