Bumper removal

I would rather not ride with a front plate, but I clearly cannot use the bumper plugs. What's the solution? Do you have to remove the bumper?

Thats a normal gap there, mine has it too. I believe there is a plastic grommet in there that keeps the gap there where the bumper is bolted to car. If you remove the grommet, the bumper will not attach as solid and you will probably have paint rub off due to it rubbing against the front fender along the seam.

Interesting. The other side looks tighter (with less gap). Maybe I have too much free time
