Default Buy a MY04/05 or MY06?

I'm looking at finally buying an s2k this month. I'm pretty much ready to pull the trigger on an 04/05 if I can find the right one, but I've fallen in love with the blue on the 06.

Most of the 06 changes I'm aware of and don't have a problem with (DBW, VSA, ugly headrests, ugly wheels, etc), but I'm not sure how it effects adding a SC later.

So, if I spend the extra couple of grand to get an 06, will it bite me in the ass a year or two from now when I want to go SC?

If you just drive the car everyday and don't drive it aggressively then the choice is really the color you want =)

i would definitley prefer going with an 06, and not just because of laguna blue. the changes to the whole interior from 05 to 06 are just awesome!!! the seat leather, new center console, new steering wheel leather, dash material, passenger side storage area under dash....i mean, the list can go on, they did some pretty cool additions. i used to have an 03, i wanted an ap2, was gonna get an 04-05, but after a few months, i started to grow on the 06(wheels, etc.). its definitley your call...but you will not regret getting an 06!

and yes, vsa is an awesome feature for rainy weather, definitley a huge peace of mind.

Comptech has an SC for MY06+ cars...doesn't look like it will be a problem.

Thanks negcamber. I didn't think they had anything out yet. Searching s2ki for "2006" and "SC" only yielded a billion or so hits that didn't answer the question. I should've just gone over to the Comptech site.

I think you should go with the LB. I hear there is a SC out for the 06, I think. If there isn't, there will be one later on.

I used to drive a 02 and HATED the new rims.... now i love them.

They look great dropped:

And i agree with FISH22 %100 the new materials are great... im extremely happy with my purchase. Also, some will say VSA is for newb's, but i find it very comforting to have on wet / cold roads.
