Hmmm... im getting an s2k after i sell my car, but i dont know how your talon was that slow. i have a 1995 awd with quite a few mods (boost controller, afc-2 fuel controller, etc) , but not anything outrageous, i am pushing 18 psi and achieving a 13.8 1/4 mile time. so i dont see where you are pulling these numbers from. its on ebaymotors right now. check it out.....

boost:

I DO know as I owned the car ('92 Talon TSI). It was stock. 14 psi I think. The 0-60 times I gave coincide with every car mag's test on this car.

Thanks,
Richard

My previous car was alson a 95 Eagle Talon TSI-AWD. It had 150k miles after 5 years, but still looked and drove like it was brand new.

The S2000 is like no other car I've ever driven. It's so light and nimble compared to the Talon, and I've never looked back.

Go do it and enjoy the next few hundred thousand miles.

My Talon is behind the S in this photo..

I will say the sound of a BOV is the only thing I miss from my 93GSX. 16G and supporting mods. The S is slower but like everyone else has said we like the fun factor and you can have the top down. Go drive one and see for yourself. I am sure if you are having these thoughts you will agree with the rest of us. Good Luck

We must remember here that the Talon was another of those "sedan based" sports cars. It was built on the Gallant platform, and the cowel height proves it. All this means is that the Talon was not a true sports car.

Now, as to the s2k, you really need to drive one with 500 miles or more on it so you can run it above 6K rpm. My s2k performs, in a way , just the opposite of my old Talon. The Talon would come on hard, but with too little behind it. The s2k wraps up the opposite way, with little to start with, and the "hammers of Hell" at the end.

Whether or not you like the s2k, know that your Talon is basically 1989 technology, and there have been improvements. Try an s2k, 350Z, G35 Coupe, Boxter, Z4 3.0, and all the players. Then you decide.

Thanks,
Richard

Yes, please! And I not the Talon in question is an Automatic transmission model (!??) and no bids on ebay. I wouldn't say anything if the guy hadn't said I didn't know what I was talking about when I OWNED A TALON TSI from 1991 to 1998! Yeah, I DO know what I'm talking about.

Should you go from a Talon trubo to an s2k, you should know that you will be leaving brutishness for precission.That's the best way I can put it.

Thanks,
Richard

1G = 190hp
2G = 210hp

Bone stock they both run about the same times though. As the 1G had the 14B turbos and 2G had the T25. Both in the 15.5 range. The GSXs (AWD) would be a couple of ticks faster then the GST (FWD). But it's a hell of a lot easier to get more hp out of a factory turbocharged verhicle then the s2000.

thanks a lot for all the replies....sorry that i posted that you didnt know anything, i was pissed at te time.... i basically just dont want the talon anymore because of the maitenence, and yes, i know that i wouldnt do the wing on the s2k. At first i loved it on the talon, but now it is starting to appeal way less. I have already driven an s2k and i have to say its the best car ive ever driven. i was looking at an rsx-s at first, but after i drove the s2k the rsx is way out of the question. Hopefully i can get rid of the talon through ebay and be on my way to driving in the hottest machine alive!!!I want a NFR s2k, do you guys think that that is a good color?
