Im buying a 2000 Ap1 tommorow. Its from a private owner. I carfaxed it, He is the 4th owner and has a clear title. What are the key things i should be searching for on this vehicle that may be wrong?

 

Key things you could use for bargaining that I noticed on mine:

Drivers power lock no longer works
Top had temp patches and needed to be replaced asap
Any sort of sign of water leaking into the cabin (possible mold)
Tire condition
Brakes

The other more serious stuff is make sure the transmission is smooth, esp 2nd gear and the AP1's are well known for cracked value retainers if there was ever a mechanical over-rev. Do a search if you need more info on that subject.

Oh and I recently bought my Berlina Black MY00 with 58,000 miles and it needed a new top and front tires for 10,000.

 

Make sure the flux capacitor isn't burned out. If it is, you can always order a new one, though =/. They're $200, though.
